Pre-Trip Inspection Training

3 hour training session for Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection (Ont. Regulation 199/07) Training will include PowerPoint presentation, handbook and educational materials. Training session will include practical application of regulations using sample inspections report provided by carrier. Participants will be given Knowledge Verification test for confirmation of training.

Participants will be provided with a Certificate of Training as provided by certified Driver Trainer.

Log Book Training

4 hour training session for current HOS regulations for both Canada and/or US. Training will include PowerPoint presentation, and educational materials. Training session will include practical application of regulations using sample log sheets as provided by carrier. Participants will be given Knowledge Verification test for confirmation of training.

Participants will be provided with a Certificate of Training as provided by certified Driver Trainer.

Safety Meetings:

Various topics available for driver safety meetings including Driver Fatigue, Defensive Driving, Winter Driving, Professional Drivers, Court Appearances and Audit preparation. E & B Safety Consulting will customize material presented at safety meeting to address current negative trends within fleet.

THE FOLLOWING IS A LIST OF ADDITIONAL TRAINING THAT CAN BE ARRANGED BY E & B:

Practical Pre-Trip Inspection Training:

Full refresher course on proper Pre-Trip inspection of Class A and / or D vehicles. Includes air brake inspection. 4 hour course, consisting of 2 hours in-class instruction and 2 hours of practical instruction. (Vehicles provided by client)

Load Securement Training

8 hour in-class course: Covers all new North American Cargo Securement legislation for Van and Flatbed. Course can be separated into (2) individual 4 hour modules for either van or flat

Defensive Driving Course

In-class presentation of Defensive Driving Course. 8 hour course includes handbook and certification card.

In-cab Driver Evaluation/Driver Risk Assessment

On-road risk assessment of driver and evaluation of driver skills. Class A or D On-road evaluation will consist of road-test, full practical testing of knowledge of pre trip inspection, air brake adjustment, and driving skills. Report will include risk assessment, areas of concerns and driver’s weaknesses in terms of potential need for retraining. (Vehicles provided by client)

Practical Defensive Driving Course

In-class presentation of Defensive Driving Course, specifically addressing time, space and speed management skills including Knowledge Verification Quiz. Class A or D. 4 hour in-class presentation, followed by in-cab evaluation which will include road test, full pre trip inspection, air brake adjustment and risk analysis. Transportation of Dangerous Goods Training

Training of staff, (drivers and warehouse) for transportation, handling and offering of Dangerous Goods. 4 hour course includes handbook and certification card
